Iza (our Bali accommodation guest) just emailed us this picture of a lovely dessert - gratis - from the new eatery in Mas. Our British guest said it was well worth the trip - just 15 minutes by car out of Ubud center to Mas (the village of wood carvings, as ordained by the Ubud King).

Our villa accommodations has a staff driver who can take you to this restaurant or on any trip around the island of the gods!

Actually, it is not fushion. It is very traditional Balinese dessert. In fact, the cook is in the front of the restaurant preparing foods in traditional cook pots. It is pretty unusual. I am not sure how romantic it is ... but try it!
